Bart is a seasoned Master Mariner with over a decade of experience working for leading offshore contractors, including HAM and Heerema. Transitioning to an onshore role, he joined Cunningham Lindsey as a loss adjuster, where he honed his expertise in claims and risk assessment.

In 1999, Bart began his tenure at Praevenio, which later became part of Delta Lloyd. Over the next 14 years, he led a team of loss adjusters and risk surveyors, serving as team manager and driving operational excellence.

In 2013, Bart joined the offshore wind team, expanding his focus to renewable energy projects. Two years later, he brought his extensive knowledge to Canopius, where he advises on both onshore and offshore construction and operational risks, including risk exposures and Estimated Maximum Loss (EML).

Currently serving as the risk engineer for the MGA, Bart continues to provide strategic guidance to the team and acts as the primary contact for claims, Marine Warranty Surveyors (MWS), and loss adjusters.
