Praeventus’ binding authority allows us to underwrite and bind risks, the risk however lies with our carriers. All insurance quotes and policies issued by Praeventus are issued in accordance with our Binder Authority and therefore having a binding effect on our carriers. Therefore, where Praeventus has put down a stamp on a policy, carriers are bound to all terms and conditions of that policy for the duration of the policy. Binders are only established with carriers who meet the strictest requirements in terms of financial security, longevity in the market and product knowledge.

 

As a Coverholder, Praeventus does not have a financial rating but all binder security is rated by A.M. Best and/or Standard and Poor’s. Latest ratings can be found on the respective company websites.
